Description
Groton Farm School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teacher Assistant to support our nature-based, mixed-age classrooms (ages 4-11). This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values experiential learning, and thrives in both indoor and outdoor educational settings. The Teacher Assistant will work closely with lead teachers to support daily instruction, manage small groups, oversee outdoor activities, and help create a nurturing and organized classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lead teacher with instruction and classroom routines
- Lead small group activities as directed
- Supervise students during outdoor play and exploration
- Embrace and support the school’s nature-based philosophy
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with young children
- Familiarity with a multiage learning environment
- Ability to implement lesson plans created by the teacher
- Confident leading small groups
- At ease in outdoor settings and with farm animals
Compensation
- Full-time, hourly contract role (not an employee position)

Groton Farm School is seeking an energetic, creative, and knowledgeable Part-Time French Teacher to join our multi-age learning community. This position is ideal for someone who is passionate about helping students ages 4–11 build confidence in speaking and understanding French while fostering an appreciation for French-speaking cultures.
Key Responsibilities
- Teach introductory and conversational French to students ages 4–11
- Help students develop vocabulary, pronunciation, listening, and basic conversational French skills
- Create engaging lessons
- Adapt instruction for multi-age classrooms
- Foster a warm, supportive, and inclusive learning environment
Qualifications
- Fluency in French
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience teaching French to elementary-aged children is preferred
- Creative, flexible, and engaging teaching style
- Comfortable in a farm school environment and around farm animals
