Description
Groton Farm School is seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Full-Time Teacher Assistant to support our nature-based, multi-age classrooms. This role is ideal for someone who enjoys working with young children, values experiential learning, and thrives in both indoor and outdoor educational settings. The Teacher Assistant will work closely with lead teachers to support daily instruction, manage small groups, oversee outdoor activities, and help create a nurturing and organized classroom environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Support lead teacher with instruction and classroom routines
- Lead small group activities as directed
- Supervise students during outdoor play and exploration
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree
- Experience working with young children
- Familiarity with a multi-age learning environment
- Ability to implement lesson plans created by the teacher
- Confident leading small groups
- At ease in outdoor settings and with farm animals
Compensation
- Full-time, hourly contract role (not an employee position)
- Hourly rate based on experience
