Description: Groton Farm School is seeking a part-time Math Teacher for grades K-6th. Candidates must have a strong math background and the ability to engage/teach young learners in both a traditional classroom and outdoor settings. Responsibilities include creating and teaching lesson plans, adapting teaching methods for different age groups, and fostering a love for math in a supportive and inclusive atmosphere.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree.
- Prior teaching experience, especially with young children.
- Ability to teach multiple age groups at the same time.
- Passion for nature and the outdoors.
Hours: 8:30 am to 3:30 pm, 5 days a week

Description: Groton Farm School seeks a part-time or full-time, K-4th Teacher Assistant. Applicant will work under the supervision of lead teachers. Responsibilities include watching and supervising students, providing students additional attention and instruction, and is present and engaged during class sessions. Additionally, the Teacher Assistant will help in the preparation of the classroom for the sessions by getting materials ready or setting up equipment.
Requirements:
- High School diploma and at least 2 years of higher education.
- Prior classroom experience with kids ages 4 ½ -11 (in a multiage classroom, a plus).
- Technology savvy.
- Enthusiastic and energetic.
- Able to assist teachers in a natural/outdoor setting (the forest, orchards, wetlands, ponds, and rivers), as well as in a traditional classroom.
- Be comfortable around farm animals and love being out in nature.
- Enthusiasm for nature-based curriculum
Hours: 3-4 hours, 2 times per week (flexible schedule)
Start Date: Sept. 2024

Description: Groton Farm School seeks a part-time Music teacher to introduce children ages 4½-11 to music through songs, simple instruments, and diverse instructional materials. Opportunity to teach private lessons (e.g., ukulele, drums, keyboard) during school hours, and coordinate Winter Holiday and End-of-School year performances.
Requirements:
- 4 year college degree.
- Prior teaching experience and the ability to teach various ages at the same time.
- Able to teach in a natural/outdoor setting, as well as in a traditional classroom.
- Be comfortable around farm animals.
